Jack and Annie embark on special missions handed down by Merlin in Haunted Castle on Hallow's Eve, Summer of the Sea Serpent, and Winter of the Ice Wizard (all Random, 2003-04). These lively tales of time travel and adventure are transformed into entertaining audio stories skillfully narrated by the author. Osborne gives each character a distinct voice while never overdoing it. Her narration has a calming quality, even while Jack and Annie overcome many obstacles on their way to completing Merlin's difficult tasks.
