Overview: The purpose of this series is to provide students with short vignettes written in board format to review material in the basic sciences. Each book covers a specific topic and covers an array of most commonly seen topics on the boards. This series is not intended to be a complete review, but rather a supplement to course material and other review books. For this reason, it is important to keep the books small (under 125 pages) and inexpensive. Topics covered in the Step one series are: Anatomy, Behavioral Science, Biochemistry, Microbiology: Virology/Immunology/Parasitology (previously named Microbiology I); Microbiology: Bacteriology (previously named Microbiology II); Pathophysiology: Pulmonary System (previously named Pathophysiology I); Pathophysiology: GI System (previously named Pathophysiology II); Pathophysiology: Cardiovascular System (previously named Pathophysiology III); and, Pharmacology.For its strategic plan see the attached memo.
