Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (1859 ? 1930) was a Scottish physician and writer celebrated for his stories about the detective Sherlock Holmes, which are generally considered a major innovation in the field of crime fiction. He was a prolific writer whose other works include science fiction stories, historical novels, plays and romances, poetry, and non-fiction.
Sir Derek Jacobi won a Tony in 1985 for Much Ado About Nothing and was Tony-nominated in 1988 for Breaking the Code. His voicework includes narration for The Diaries of Vaslav Nijinsky, Manor House, and Doctor Who: Scream of the Shalka. He was awarded CBE (Commander of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) in 1985 and was knighted in 1994.
