Inhaltsangabe

One of the reasons that the Christian Church seems to be lagging in it's effectiveness as a life changing organism in the community is the lack of involvement of laity in ministry. Throughout the last two thousand years, a major fault has developed between the way the New Testament Church and the church of today performs the work of ministry. A perception has developed in most churches that the work of ministry is exclusively the job of professional, ordained clergy. There is a dire need for the church to return to New Testament principles for the development of her programs for the carrying out of the mandate of Jesus Christ. Hopefully, Closing the Gap Between the Clergy and The Laity will serve as a reminder and an inspiration for both clergy and laity to return to the New Testament and early church tradition principles as guides for carrying out the work that Jesus left for His church to perform.
