Robert J. Conley published his first novel, Back to Malachi, in 1986 at Doubleday. Since that time, he has released at least 28 more novels and a collection of short stories. He has also been published by Ballantine, Bantam, St. Martin's Press, and Pocket Books. He is a member of the Oklahoma Professional Writer's Hall of Fame (inducted 1996) and is the current president of Western Writers of America.
