The aim of this book is to raise public awareness of the risks of not addressing global warming and climate change together with the potential solutions and the benefits of change. The objective is to motivate readers to implement solutions that will reduce reliance on fossil fuel energy sources - the main causes for global warming and climate change. By providing essential information on the alternative technologies available, the intention is to empower governments, academics, private organisations and individuals to develop alternative technologies and implement the necessary infrastructures needed to generate the ever increasing amounts of energy required by the ever expaning global population without conpounding the concerns related to greenhouse gases emissions. As more homes use these grid connected microgeneration technologies, the human benefits of generating and sharing electrical energy generated from renewable energy sources will be similar to the benefits experienced by sharing information over the internet.
