She also thanks, in loving memories, Ida B. Torrence, Mary Ida Ashley, her father, Morris, and her two sisters who have all gone on to be with the Lord.

In her spare time Sylvia enjoys reading, writing, and interior decorating. She recently attended graduate school to receive a Master of Arts in Evangelism and Church Planting, plus a Doctor of Philosophy in Counseling, pastoral care, and counseling specialization.
