Caryl Hart is an award-winning, full-time children's author based in Derbyshire. She loves going for long walks, sitting in cafes, and running creative literacy workshops for schools and libraries. She lives on the top of a windy hill in the Peak District with her guitar-playing husband, two cheeky daughters, and one extremely fluffy black cat.

Deborah Allwright is best known for her critically acclaimed books, including The Night Pirates, She'll Be Coming Round the Mountain, and Don't Read This Book! Deborah works in a studio in Islington, stopping only to attend designer clothes sales, and to do a bit of DJing at music festivals.
