James M. Kauffman is Professor Emeritus of Education, University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA, USA. His primary area of specialization and interest is emotional and behavioral disorders of children and youth.

Julian Elliott is Principal of Collingwood College and Professor of Education at Durham University, UK. His research interests include: children′s learning and behaviour difficulties, comparative education, and dynamic assessment.
