A lyrical collection of essays and rhyming verse reflecting the author's experiences with nature and animals culled from her encounters with others' pets as a pet-sitter and those of her own beloved cats. Accompanying vivid, full-color photographs make this volume as much a picture book as one of evocative poetry and stories that range from the touching to the dramatic, and even the bizarre. The author's donation of a sizable portion of the proceeds from the sale of each book to animal rescue groups and shelters makes this an essential addition to the collection of any animal- or nature-lover, or aficionado of rhyming poetry.
