It also deals with countless migrations in Europe, the Arabs as a whole and the influence of their science in particular, as it does with Christian Kings, the suffering of Jews, the role played by the Roman Catholic Church and the havoc caused by pestilence. All this is explained by an Architect and hobby historian to a fellow from Latin America, an individual born on a reed island in the Bolivian part of Lake Titicaca who went to Spain to search for his roots and ended up to make comparisons with life in the Empire of the Inka.
