Beth Leonard is a cradle Catholic who has studied, and fallen in love with, the books of the Bible. The more she studied the historic writings, the stronger her bond became to the Roman Catholic Church and its teachings. She found a new energy and beauty in the beloved Mass and a deepened respect for the wisdom and prudence of those who first established the Catholic doctrine and for those who are responsible for its vitality today. While praying The Seven Sorrows of Mary, a daily meditation handed down by Saint Bridget, Beth began an initial thirst for more knowledge and a desire to understand, in full context, the mysteries they hold. Locating each sorrow in New Testament scripture left her with even more questions to consider and research. New Testament footnotes led to Old Testament verses and so the search began - back and forth across the books of the Bible to gain as much insight and history as she could find. What was especially heartwarming was the number of times it led her directly back to her Catholic traditions, to the Liturgy of the Word, and to the Catechism of the Catholic Church. She began documenting her findings and then wrote them into a discovery study for other Catholics to explore and experience. Beth lives with her husband, Bill, and two daughters, Sarah and Moira. They reside in Carmel, Indiana.
