It is a promise that He will not let us go through anything without Him and His helper, the Holy Spirit, as well as the sacrifice and ever-present love of His Son, Jesus. It's a promise that will not change and will last forever through in any situation. Life is not easy; Jesus even told us that. Even so, we are not alone, ever. We have to trust in the promises of God. He will help us, love us, and guide us; He will not give us more than we can endure. God doesn't break His promises, and that's a promise too.
