The purpose of the book is to educate children, in a fun and simple format, about the real meaning behind the events we take part in. It also touches on the importance of being observant of the world around us and how we can all learn from that.Winter Events is also available now, with Spring and Summer releasing in June, 2012. I have served the non-profit sector for many years but my inner passion has always been for creative writing and positively impacting the lives of others, especially children. As a parent I want my kids to understand the real meaning of why we have holidays and not that it serves for the sole purpose of having a day off from school. I say that jokingly of course, but it really is important to me to have an easy to use tool for teaching these lessons to my children and future generations. I feel this book, What's That All About, does just that! I truly enjoyed sharing this reading and learning experience with my kids. It sparked some great discussion and a solid understanding of both small and big events. So many of our holidays have such a rich history and are brought to life here through Shaye and Shiner.
