Divorce is never an easy event. That being said, I have put together a guide that is easy to read and lays out 10 fundamental keys and 10 emotional keys that will help women as they go through this very challenging time. Through this book, I hope to help women rebuild their lives and eliminate some of the pitfalls that many have faced when going through their divorce. I have many years of experience in financial services and have worked with women who were facing tough times. With my background having been that of a counselor, the relationships I developed with my clients were more than business. I was the person whom they would cry to when their marriage was on the brink of divorce. During these very tough times, I learned many lessons about the divorce process. I have had women in tears in my office because they were struggling financially, and I realized that they could have been better protected if they had received more information prior to and during their divorce. My theory is that if you don't know the right questions, you won't get the right answers. Even working with an attorney, one will not get all the answers if the right questions are not asked. Attorneys have many other clients and their time with any one client is limited. The more prepared a client is, the more likely their individual needs will be better served, and important details will not be left out. My goal and intent with this book is that you, the person going through the divorce, be the most educated and advised client your attorney could possibly have. The decision to divorce will impact your life for a very long time. The more you know and take responsibility for, the more you will have no regrets in the end. You will know in your heart that you did everything possible to make sure your divorce was fair for all parties. My only desire for you is that nothing is overlooked that could have improved your position financially. Divorce is tough enough without regrets.
