Many of these poems are written for "those left behind" which is a specialized area of poetry written for encouragement when someone suffers the loss of family or friends through death. However, everyone has shared death at some point in their lives and no one needs encouragement more than this select group. I hope you will enjoy reading these as much as I enjoyed writing them.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Ruth Miller is a distinguished member of the International Society of Poets. Her work was selected for publication in the compendium of poetry, The Best Poems and Poets of 2007, and has been presented with a certificate of accomplishment for honors in poetic knowledge and creativity. She was additionally noted for outstanding achievements in poetry in July of 2008, and her work was again published in the International Poetry Anthology, Favorite Memories, in early 2009. Compassionately Spoken depicts her writings in poetic form which has evolved over the years. During this time, she also developed a specialty writing for "those left behind" as an encouragement for them to look forward to living their life to the fullest. She has an unusual ability to write fluently on any subject requested and hopes to publish a second volume of her work in the near future. Ruth and her husband Leon have two children and five grandchildren. They live in Lakeland, Florida.
