M.J. Gwynn was born in raised in Northeast Philadelphia to his patient, motivating, and loving parents Frank and Norma Gwynn. He has two brothers Bill and Frank, and one sister, Sue. After an upbringing in the Philadelphia Parochial School system, M.J. was selected to attend the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. Upon graduation with a degree in General Engineering with a Concentration in Foreign Languages (French & German), M.J. became a Field Artillery Officer in the United States Army. The Army life involved duty tours in Oklahoma and Germany. Answering to the corporate business call, M.J. left the military with an Honorable Discharge to work in Sales and Business Development. M.J. Gwynn overcame a prolonged and complicated Battle for Life against cancer. He relied on his life, West Point, and Military lessons and experiences to survive this lengthy and challenging Battle for Life.
