Barbara Stewart (1959 - ) was born in Baltimore, MD, and grew up in Pennsylvania, and the central east coast of Florida. She resides in the Jacksonville, FL area with her husband Gene and their fat cat, Kooky. She has worked in the electronics industry, and most recently in health-care. Barbara is a volunteer for the American Cancer Society, winning the Hope Award for volunteerism in 2009. Her favorite musicians and songs brought on the “rock and roll fantasies” in her work. Sprinkled through her stories are humor and sadness based on experiences shared with family and friends. Those who have read her stories, and know her, tell her they 'see and feel' her experiences with them in the words on the pages. Sweet Surrender (February 2012) was her first published book, and came from a challenge for National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo ~ November 2011). Rock and Roll Never Forgets, her next/first book, came to life in 2003 when Andy woke her in the middle of the night and said “I’ve got a story you need to write!” Book Two of the Rock and Roll Trilogy – When I Look to the Sky- will be ready for release in the spring of 2013.
