Polster and Ross published their Maths Masters columns in Melbourne's Age newspaper more or less weekly from 2007 to 2014 (online since 2009), and here is their second collection of them. The 64 columns are in sections on putting two and two together, the shape of things to come, a bloody good sport, the house that math built, a chance encounter, space and time: final frontiers, and on the shoulders of lesser giants. They are for general readers, and assume a minimum of mathematical background. Each ends with a puzzle, for which they provide a solution.
