Pamela Vanderlinde is a lecturer in fashion design at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and the Illinois Institute of Art - Chicago, USA. Pamela is an independent designer whose design practice, philosophy and teaching are grounded in her study of historical and contemporary bespoke fashion.

The text begins with an introduction to working with knits and how to gauge the stretch capacity of fabrics. Grading instructions will guide students to create a set of Top and Hip Foundations for each of the four stretch categories of knits.
