The diary opens at Boismont on 1 January 1917. 1917 is the most travelled year, 17 places against 8 in the next busiest, and is spent at Fourques, Boismont, Roisel, Marieux and Irles. 1918 is spent at Ailly Le Haut Clocher, Brusle, Bettencourt, Devise and Brie.
