We join David as he makes his way from Valley Ridge to Mountain Pass in search of greener grass and a reunion with his father. Along the way David encounters a small community of animals trapped in a dire situation. A devastating storm has forced them to live in deplorable conditions and, as the rainy season comes to an end, they find themselves with little more than a mud puddle for drinking water. Humbled by their needs David's eyes are opened as he begins to see what life is like Beyond Valley Ridge.

Lydia Diaz is a 28 year old wife and mother of two living in Dallas, Texas. A graduate of the University of Central Florida she majored in Psychology and Criminal Profiling. Beyond Valley Ridge is her first book and looks to be just the beginning, with a sequel already in production.
