Inhaltsangabe

History Made at Holcomb Park! Shorty Irslund is born right in the middle of the first night game in the history of professional baseball, played just blocks from his home. The circumstances of his birth foretell his destiny to become a ballplayer. He falls in love with the game as a boy after watching a team of black barnstormers take on a team of white major league stars, but never dreams that his soul will get caught in a hotbox between a famed temperance evangelist and a presidential candidate. Or does he? Versus the Demons is a story about faith, hope and love, the bases Shorty has to touch as he makes his way around the bush leagues before ultimately coming home.
