Gabrielle Sunheart is the creator and author of the book series; "EAT ON $5 A DAY!" The Author of the travel guide series; "GABRIELLE SUNHEART'S 21 BEST INSIDER TRAVEL TIPS!' Gabrielle is also the face of; "PLUS-SIZE PERFECTION!" And the host of her own popular youtube channel. From the age of 17, Gabrielle made a living selling her paintings in her own art gallery while raising her daughter as a single mom. By the time she was 25, she had built a 1.5 million dollar online media, was married with two more kids. However, in the summer of 2008, she found herself alone, with three children and no income. Suddenly Gabrielle was forced to swallow her pride and survive on the minimal assistance the government so graciously provided. Not knowing how she would be able to turn a small, fixed monthly support award into a way to feed her family, she spent her minimal spare time researching the internet at the library for any insight on how to stretch a dollar. "My motivation was clear: it was my children and their need to continue to eat healthy, even when I was no longer in a position to provide for them the way I was once accustomed. I absolutely refused to allow my current state of poverty to dictate my family’s consumption of bad “99 cent sack-heart attack” fast food. And I was determined to feed myself and my children a healthy diet of fresh vegetables and fruits, brown rice and beans, potatoes and homemade breads. In hindsight I am convinced that I was able to remain focused and positive, even though my circumstances seemed hopeless ... through my intake of these amazing and healing foods." In 2009 Gabrielle published her first book; “Eat On $5 A Day!” In order to reach out to the millions of people in the US who find themselves barely able to hold on. There is hope, and it lies in the way we prepare our meals, honor our ingredients and nurture ourselves. Gabrielle Sunheart's goal isn’t to win a culinary award. My goal is to feed my family healthfully and seasonally on as little $ as possible."
