While the Ohio National Guard shoots real bullets at protesting students, our characters face the reality that one of their own could be a murderer. Will they find the way back to their friendships, solve the murder, and embrace love that lasts a lifetime? Between Woodstock and the Kent State shootings, the characters mature and change as they make decisions that will affect the rest of their lives. This fictional story is set in 1969-70, when both the country, and its young people, were irrevocably altered.

Bad Moon Rising is Debbie Schukert’s first published work. She has taken a number of credit classes over the years, including Rhetoric and Comp, Pop Literature, College Writing II, Short Story, Intro to Poetry, Film Analysis, Psychology, business classes, and marketing. She completed a mini non-credit course, Intro to Screenwriting. She is a member of the local writing group, Writers Anonymous. Cathy Seckman has published thousands of newspaper and magazine articles, more than a hundred indexes, more than a dozen short stories, and two novels. Her first novel, Weirdo World, is a young adult fantasy available through Cool Well Press and on Amazon. She is a member of the American Society for Indexing and Writers Anonymous. Darlene Torday's short stories have been published in True Story, True Romance and True Confessions. Both her short stories and poetry have been published in "The Happy Times Monthly", "Recipes, Reflections and Recollections, Life in the Atchafalaya Basin", the anthologies "Little Professor's Notebook" and "Let Us Not Forget." Her opinions have been published in the Youngstown, Ohio, metropolitan area newspaper, The Vindicator. She is a member of the local writing group, Writers Anonymous.
