HerStory is a paranormal thriller about a young African slave woman with special powers who is rescued by a Native American tribe during the beginning of slavery in America. A local Indian tribe attacks boats transporting African slaves along the Mississippi river and rescues a group of slaves. One of them, a young woman named Ayira, holds a dark secret. She can speak to the dead, as well as see into the past and the future. The young woman is haunted by her dead father, a witch doctor who wants to control both her body as well as her gifts. However, her powers are beyond her own control. As Ayira struggles to balance her special powers and face her dark past, the Indians around her attempt to help her cope with her new circumstances. The tribal chief’s son, White Hawk, thinks Ayira is mad and will be the cause of his tribe's downfall. What he does not know is that his fate lies in Ayira's hands. Ayira must overcome her fears of her dark past, survive the present, and accept her destiny to help save the tribe from their fatal outcomes.

Delaina M. Waldron is a Screenwriter, Novelist and freelance writer in her spare time. She wrote two feature length screenplays one of which was adapted to her novel "HerStory" and the other a comedy called "Ghetto Ghost Hunters" was a finalist in the 2011 Hollywood Screenwriting contest. She also wrote a short screenplay a thriller called "Peeper", which is currently in production. Delaina M.
