I don't need asecond mother.

Mom walked into the kitchen.She scared me.I didn't expect her home so early.I jumped from my chair, accidentally droppingmy cookies and spilling my milk all over the table.

I asked her what she was doing home so earlyand she answered,"I have a surprise for you, Sasha."

This fat lady appeared.She was at least three hundred pounds.Her broomstick-like hair reminded meof a scarecrow I once saw.Her name was Ms. Grace MaClean.She shook my hand and myfingers almost got stuck together.

I took a few steps backwards.My mom told me that Ms. MaCleanwas my new baby-sitter.She was also our new housekeeper.What an awful surprise!I tried to smile but I just couldn't do it.A big frown took over my face.

I told mom that I didn't need a baby-sitter,but she kept saying, "Yes you do! Yes you do!Ms. MaClean will take the upstairs room.No one is using it."

I can take care of myself.Why doesn't my mom believe me?I'm eight years old.My sister, Bella, was tired of looking after me.That's what mom told me.Can it be true?How could Bella be tired of me?
