Reseña del editor:
A heroic youngster, Evie, fights for her life. She enlists the help of a young priest and a bewitched artist to defeat the cursed Moonstone that is murdering and entombing her people, the trows of Orkney. "This is a very vicious keepsake. Aye, only trows who have touched the Moonstone can become entombed. But it can attack you and destroy you without entombing you. It can use your own fears in very realistic dreams that are so evil and lifelike, you will fear going to sleep." But there is hope in the form of a pint-sized enigma named Colin Mack who plays the fool. “Sa ye think this is bad. Wait ’til the midges comes oot I alwis say.” Mack is the wizard, just what you would expect to find in these enchanted Scottish Isles of the North Sea.
Biografía del autor:
John Edward Radcliffe is a Wisconsin guild storyteller who both writes and tells stories based on his travels to remote places throughout the world. John was born in 1937 and brought up on the South Shore of Massachusetts so he developed a love of the sea. His hobbies include traveling, mountain hiking and viticulture. His Scottish Isles family background and his romance with the sea made these islands his favorite story hunting grounds. Sixteen of his short stories are published in his book, Storms of the Scottish Isles: Dark tales of creatures and beings on the remote islands of the North Atlantic. His previous work, Howl of the Banshee: Dark tale of smuggling and piracy, is set in the Outer Hebrides, isles described in ancient texts as, “The Isles at the Edge of the Sea.”
