Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Jack Randy Martin's life experiences allow him to bring a wide variety of personalities, places, occupations, relationships and hobbies into his stories and characters. He was born in Texas, raised in the wilds of Upper Michigan, schooled in Ohio and has lived his adult life in California. In this journey, he has worked as paperboy, ice cream server, tour guide, truck stop attendant, pipeline worker, radar/avionics engineer, limousine chauffeur, computer software engineer and author. He is an adoptee and a cancer survivor, married 25 years with 5 children, 5 cats, 4 dogs, 3 sheep, 2 goats and a dove. Somewhere between career and family, he has managed to be a motorcycle racer, marathoner and triathlete. His love for motorcycles led him to become a columnist for Examiner.com where he has published more than 200 articles. His first novel, I Ran to Alva, is the culmination of an idea that took 15 years to transpire, though he actually wrote it in one month. Each of his stories covers a diverse range of places, people and events, but one common underlying theme. For one story that theme will be guilt, for another forgiveness and another perseverance. These and other core sentiments live in the heart of every human being, rich or poor, young or old, male or female, atheist or believer, to a greater or lesser extent and it is the exploration of these core sentiments that comprise the foundations of Jack Randy Martin's stories.
