The Path After The Storm follows three stories follow the lives of three main characters. This is how he became a child of the game. Last is the sassy and classy Kayla Parker whose character is a young black business woman who struggles to really find herself no matter how much money she makes. Kayla Parker is a single, well-educated young woman who is a taskmaster in the boardroom, an alcoholic, and a man-eater who thinks money will solve all her problems. Not only does she have problems with men but she also has problems with her parents whom she takes for granted.
