Barbara Defago is a grandmother who used to work as a nurse, therapist and teacher. She recently retired from her job as a college instructor and now spends her time practising art and writing, when she isn't focusing on her 3 year old grandson. In 2003 she contributed a personal essay to "Dropped Threads 2: More of What We Aren't Told" and these days her mixed media art can be found in local galleries and shops. Barbara lives with her husband, Nick (aka granddad) in Langley, British Columbia. He would say that she is a keen observer of life and one who knows a lot about relationships.
