Software defined radio is an exciting development for amateur radio and listening on the short wave bands. It combines the power of modern computers with advances in radio technology. Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Andrew Barron lives in Christchurch, New Zealand. He is married with two children and two cats. One son is studying Commerce at Canterbury University and the other is studying Medicine at Otago University. The cats stay mostly at home. Andrew is a keen amateur radio operator who enjoys radio contesting, chasing DX, digital modes and satellite operating. He writes extensively about many aspects of the amateur radio hobby. His latest obsession is software defined radio. He is rubbish at sending and receiving Morse code.
