Inhaltsangabe

Age of the Aztecs is the second book in the Time Chronicle series. This time, Jurna and her new traveling companion Austin, find themselves in the last years of the Aztec empire. Their time there will find them walking through Tenochtitlán, meeting with Montezuma, and experiencing parts of Aztec life. To continue their journey, they must find The Timebook. Even though codices, Aztec books, are made of folded strips of fig bark paper; finding it proves to be harder than they expected. This book combines real historical details with fantasy aspects such as dragons. Age of the Aztecs includes a nonfiction section where the reader will learn fascinating facts about this amazing civilization.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Arantxa Bárcenas lives in Washington with her parents, her sister Lorena, and their two cats: Oreo and Licorice. She is homeschooled and loves reading, writing, climbing, and building with LEGO. She also enjoys the videogame Skylanders and Minecraft. She started writing her first novel, The Timebook, when she was 8. The Age of the Aztecs was begun doing NaNoWriMo 2013. She has the titles and the main ideas for all the books in her Time Chronicle series already written down. In the series, the books alternate between works containing nonfiction and total fiction. She got interested in the Aztecs because her family originally came from Mexico and most people from Mexico have Aztec ancestry.
