In this second edition, the authors son and daughter, Forrest Clark, III and Constance Clark have included more stores, some family information gained from genealogy research as well as Texas history relative to the family living during this time.

Forrest Hines Clark, Sr. was born in Alice, Jim Wells County, Texas on October 8, 1911 and died July 11, 1992 in Houston, Harris County, Texas. He grew to manhood on his father’s cattle ranch in Duval County, and spent 42 years working for Dow Chemical Company in Freeport, Brazoria County, Texas. After retirement he moved to Houston to be near his family. He and his wife, Emilie Rosina Zengerle, of 58 years were married in Hebbronville, Jim Hogg County, Texas on June 30, 1936. Emilie died on January 2, 1994. They had three children, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild at their deaths.
