Pat Tyler received her M.A., Counseling, from Sonoma State University. She is a graduate of the University of Oxford/Berkeley's Creative Fiction Writing Course - The Art of Lying. She's a retired facilitator of evening writing classes for the men and women incarcerated in the MADF (Main Adult Detention Facility) - a.k.a. the Sonoma County Jail, in Santa Rosa, CA, and from the morning Quick Start writing classes for the City of Rohnert Park, CA. She is currently at work on the final revision of her novel, The Impossible Promise, which is based on the life of her grandfather, one of the Navy's first hard-hat divers. Tentative publication date 2015.
