Proverb 22:6 says that we are to train a child in the way he/she should go, and when they are older, they will not turn away from it. (paraphrase.) In the original language, it is emphasized that we are to train our children according to their individual inclination, or God-given bent. Parents are uniquely equipped to understand their children s passions, strengths and talents. As children grow, their personalities begin to shine. This book is written to equip parents and children s minister, coaches, and children s counselors; to discover the deep desires and strengths of children. It is best suited to 4th and 5th grade students, but 2nd and 3rd grade students are able to understand and gain insights from it as well.

Libby Hodge holds a doctorate degree in Pastoral Counseling from Chesapeake Bible College and Seminary in Ridgely, MD. She is also a licensed counselor and member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, and a licensed facilitator with Identity and Destiny. She has served as a children’s minister for over 20 years and has written curriculum for her classes for several years. Libby is also the Children's Ministry Director at Connection Church in Hinesville, GA. Married to her husband Ed Hodge for 37 years, they have 5 grown children and 4 grandchildren. Libby has a passion for children and for seeing them grow up to fulfill their purpose in God. She has a gift for motivating and teaching children in ways that are memorable and fun. She is passionate about learning, and has a desire to see kids develop in their God-given gifts and talents.
