Beaver Dam, Wisconsin native Steven Helmer is a husband and father of two girls. Inspired by his daughters' love of books, he published his first book, "Love Poems for My Wife," In 2013 and has since added “Mike and the Really Hard Homework Question,” "Rose Rabbit's Shopping Adventure," "The Icky Sticky Mess on the Floor," “Journey to the Bubble Gum Planet,” “A Picture for My Mommy,” "Angels Don't Always Have Wings," “The Smallest Voice in the Congregation,” “Murder by Chili,” “The Lonely Shallow Grave” and "A Messy House is a Home" to a collection that is primarily meant as a legacy for them.
