This is a work of fiction. This story takes place in the early years of nineteen hundred, in a valley in Arkansas, at the foothills of the Ozarks. The place and time were comfortable. Biografía del autor:

Jewell Lee Farmer was born in Florida, where she grew up and graduated from Plant City High School. She was head bookkeeper for several years at a local bank, secretary for the USDA-ASCS office, and financial secretary at two large churches. She wrote many short stories of her memories for her family and the Woman's Club of Plant City. She was married to the late James Farmer who was the Assistant Administrator of the South Florida Baptist Hospital. She has two children, two grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
