Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Steve Fitch has percussion performance degrees from the Oberlin Conservatory and the Eastman School of Music. He is the solo drum set player and percussionist/associate principal timpanist with the Phoenix Symphony Orchestra. He has toured Germany and Switzerland with the NDR Radio Philharmonic and plays with the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra. He has taught at the Festival of Young Artists in Bayreuth, Germany and currently teaches at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix. Steve is an artist for Yamaha, Zildjian, Vic Firth, Remo and Grover Pro Percussion. He has written four books that are aimed at helping drummers improve their expressive abilities--Fantastic Hands (Mel Bay), Flam Pathways to Drumming Fluency (Fantastic Hands, Volume 2), Fantastic Feet--Stepping Outside the Box (Mel Bay), and Drum Set Freedom (Fantastic Feet, Volume 2). His compositions for percussion are published with C. Alan Publications and Musikverlag Zimmermann.
