L.M. Batstone lives in Surrey, British Columbia with her husband, son, and cat. She studied writing at Thompson Rivers University, in Kamloops, where she earned a degree in journalism. While on maternity leave she wrote her first novel, The Pirate's Apprentice. Two years later came the second book in The Pirate's Apprentice Series, Devil's Triangle. She is currently working on the next novel in the series, The Whydah's End.
