Next, the three children face a mysterious and dangerous animal,"The Wardell-Oon"--the creature without a name. In "The Winter" the death of their beloved friend, the Grandmother, means that the children can no longer be home-schooled. When they return to public school, their special abilities arouse the hatred of powerful enemies.

Dr. John K. LaShell is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute, Talbot Theological Seminary, and Westminster Theological Seminary. More importantly, he has been a pastor for forty-five years. Even more important than that, he has four grandchildren. He has been a story-teller all his life.
