There have been periods of time, events and instances throughout my life where God has taught me about myself, my desire to control my world and my circumstances, and about freedom. It has been quite painful at times, like when you have been gripping something heavy with your hands for a long time and you need to prise your fingers loose and they are numb and aching at the same time. However, it is a journey toward freedom. I am learning to let go of the need to be in control in some significant areas that show something of God and of what He values and desires for us and from us.
