LANCASHIRE LIVING MAGAZINE said - These observational poems are thought provokingly deep, sometimes historical, other times contemporary and often simply laugh out loud funny! The Rich Industrial History of Lancashire provided much inspiration for the poet, as did the landscape and yet above all we discover stories of real people made large as life through the power of words.
These tales have been inspired and written about places I have visited in the evocative Red Rose County and the people I encountered along the way. Some of these are people I have met, others from the past brought to life once again through the power of words. This is a county I have come to know intimately over the decades, my first live poetry shows were right there in Lancashire and I actually lived within the Preston area when writing this collection.
I always see my poetic tales as windows offering glimpses into a frozen moment of time, rather like seeds trapped within amber.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Possibly better known poetically these days for his former syndicated radio show Beyond Poetry, which he shared with 250,000 people via radio stations around the world, Dean Fraser previously spent years touring extensively. Learning his craft in front of live audiences and understanding just what makes an effective poem work.
