Bob Shiel got on the Dylan train a little late in the game in 1970 and, in line with Dylan's counsel, has not looked back...well, not until writing 61 Highways Revisited. Chicago songwriter, recording artist, educator, writer, devoted reader, old-timer athlete, kindergarten yoga practitioner, advanced certified yoga instructor, and certainly quite the Dylan fan, upon retiring from 27 years as a community college English teacher, Shiel set out to tackle the monster topic of the albums of Bob Dylan in a manner that would mirror a Bob Dylan song. Daunting, no doubt. Yet, clearly intellectual candy yearning to burst forth. Shiel's next book, in between recording an audio book of his Dylan retrospective, aims to tell a few autobiographical stories from the heart, dropping a few pearls of tidbits along the way. All while continuing to write, record, and release new musical material suiting his fancy.
