Many people today are claiming to be “spiritual but not religious”. This clear and readable book, written by an experienced and knowledgeable Episcopal priest, is designed to help them to do so in a rational way by applying the new teachings from Jesus that are now available to the human race in the form of 'A Course in Miracles'. In the Course, Jesus teaches us how to replace all forms of fear with love through radical and unconditional forgiveness. By doing so, he puts us on a fast track to the inner peace that is our natural birthright.

A graduate of Yale University, Hugh Magee trained for Ordination at Westcott House, Cambridge. He was ordained in 1959 and has since served parishes on both sides of the Atlantic, and as Dean of Wenatchee in the Diocese of Spokane. Recently retired, he remains an Honorary Canon of the Episcopal Cathedral in Dundee, where he served for a total of 15 years. In addition to his priestly duties, Hugh has for the past 30 years been a student of 'A Course in Miracles'. He has written numerous articles on the Course and lectured widely on its teachings, also appearing on Course-related television programs. With his wife Yvonne, he has for many years hosted and led a number of groups for Course students, both in Britain and in the U.S. Asked how he can reconcile his calling as a Canon of the Church with the Course teachings, Hugh simply states that as his primary allegiance is to Jesus, there need be no conflict: “Since the Course teachings come to us from Jesus himself, it provides us with a perfect interface between traditional Christian beliefs and the thought system that would replace them. The conventional assumption is that radical new ideas originate from ‘outside the box’. Yet here we have a thought system that not only emerges from within an existing paradigm, but from its very centre -- that centre being Jesus.”
