Birthe Mousten has a PhD in translation/localization from Copenhagen University and a MA/BA English/German from Aarhus University. As a certified translator/interpreter English/Danish, she has lectured at Aarhus University, Aalborg University, and Copenhagen University since 1992. She has specialized in LSP, legal and technical translation and literary translation. She is interested in intercultural communication and culture studies, organizing course activities for trade and industry and giving presentations at seminars, conferences and workshops. Her research areas include translation/localization, didactics in translation, lexicography, and ad-hoc corpus linguistics. She is a member of the TAPP network.
Sonia Vandepitte is a full professor at the Department of Translation, Interpreting and Communication at Ghent University and head of its English section. She teaches English, translation studies, and translation into and from Dutch. Publication topics include causal expressions in language and translation, methodology in translation studies, translation competences, anticipation in interpreting, international translation training projects and translation and post-editing processes. She is currently involved in eyetracking research into reading and translation processes of translation problem-solving. She is also a Board Member of the EMT Network and investigates peer feedback and other collaborative forms of learning in translation training.
Elisabet Arnó-Macià is an associate professor of English for Specific Purposes at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (Barcelona, Spain). Her research interests include technical and academic communication, the use of technology in languages for specific purposes, and internationalisation and multilingualism in higher education, especially English-Medium Instruction.
Bruce Maylath is a professor of English at North Dakota State University, USA, teaching courses in linguistics and international technical communication. He also directs the program in upper-division writing. His current research takes up translation issues in professional communication and has appeared in connexions, IEEE Transactions in Professional Communication, Journal of Business and Technical Communication, and Technical Communication Quarterly, among others.
