Inhaltsangabe

The MythmakerBook One: The Spark RekindledA TIME-SLIP NOVEL WITH A DIFFERENCE'Run, run, catch her run, keep in time with the Beltane drum'.Treachery, Intrigue and Betrayal - and a Tragic Forbidden Love.A dark Destiny stalks the Pendragon dynasty. It begins with a storm-torn night of illicit passion when Uther Pendragon arrives to claim Igraine, wife of war lord Gorlois and, amidst whispers of adultery, sorcery and murder, the future King Arthur is conceived. Years later history repeats itself. On the Eve of Beltane, when the young men of the village by tradition are permitted to tumble willing maidens by the light of the Beltane fires Arthur, now king, is tricked into joining the revellers. His ‘Beltane bride’ leaves him with a forbidden and hopeless love and they share the same dark Destiny. Decades later Merlin, in return for a pardon, must travel back to this turbulent and historic time to enact and record for the Fathers of the New Church a version of Arthur’s life stripped of adultery, incest and the forbidden rituals of the Old Religion, one befitting their Grail King. He agrees, and recovers his ability to travel back in time to Arthur’s reign. The story Merlin tells here is compelling, passionate and magical. The romance and intrigue of Arthur’s world are brought vividly to life, but will it earn him a pardon? Full-blooded and sensual, his tale is hardly the pious cover-up demanded by the Church Elders! .
