A lake or stream adds to the acoustic advantages, as well as to the beauty of scene. The ground must be firm and level for the dances and dramatic action. If possible, the prevailing breeze should blow from players to spectators. Temporary seats may be used, a grandstand erected, or the audience may sit on the grassy hillside. Unstable weather conditions can be met either by providing an alternate day or an alternate place within doors.
