With the desire to increase the usefulness Of the University to the people of the State, the Department of Electrical Engineering is co operating with the Physics Department in building up a standardizing laboratory whose certificate on any piece of apparatus shall be as de pendable as one from the National Bureau Of Standards at Washington. The addition Of a storage battery during the past year was a long step ahead in this direction.
