Excerpt from Mt. Ruhama Baptist Church: Commemorating One Hundred Fifty Years of Progress for the Lord 1816-1966
May we realize that the task ahead of our great Church is far greater and more serious than it has ever been in the past; but let us remember that we can also say and do as Paul said, I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Let us also remember that Jesus said, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.
My personal prayer for myself, and each of you as we face the future is that you will have strength for every task, wisdom for every problem, love for every one, God's Spirit and power for every trial, peace and joy in every service, the Holy Comforter in every sorrow, and a complete aware ness of the presence of Christ, Who is the head of the Church. We are able; so therefore we expect great things from our church as we face the future to gether under the leadership and guidance of the Holy Spirit. Let us seek to place ourselves unreservedly under His leadership and guidance.
